SUMMARY:BNA National Encaenia & Exhibits Handling Day at Natural History Museum\, London
DESCRIPTION:October 5th 2024\, meet in the Flett Theatre at the Natural History Museum\, London. 10.00am – 5.00pm. (A number of BNA Essex members took part in the previous event at the NHM) \nProfessor Ted Benton HonFBNA (on rt) receiving Peter Scott Memorial Award from BNA President Roger Tabor at previous Encaenia at NHM.\n    \n[Pictures above from previous BNA event at London’s NHM\, of Herbarioum\, lectures by BNA Hon Fellows\, viewing the Museum during the BNA event). \nIn the morning there will be behind the scenes tours\, and exhibits to look at\, and after lunch there will be the award and recognition robed Encaenia\, followed by two PowerPoint lectures by eminent naturalists. \nThere are several cafes and coffee shops within the museum for refreshments. \nThis will be a “Ticket Only” event\, it is free and open to BNA members\, guests and non-members. \nTickets are available from June.\nMore details to follow \n
